Camping Accommodations

Tent Camping

  • Primitive tent camping is INCLUDED with your registration at the Kentucky Horse Park Campground.

  • Tent campers DO NOT have to make a camping reservation.

  • Camping gear not included. Must bring your own camping equipment.

  • Tent camping spots are available on a first come, first serve basis with plenty of room for everyone.

  • Free tent camping does NOT include access to electrical hookups.

  • Modern bathroom and shower facilities are available at no additional charge, only a short walk away.

  • Small campfires are allowed at your campsite, including camp stoves & small grills.

  • Parking is located nearby with direct access available whenever needed.

  • If you prefer a tent campsite with an electrical hookup, please book an RV spot via the campground store (see below).

  • If you require a campsite with a CPAP Hookup for a medical need, we have a very limited number of electrical sites available. Please be sure to book your CPAP spot at the time of registration.

The green areas indicated on the map below are dedicated complimentary tent camping areas.

  • Area A:

    • This area on the map does NOT permit cars or car camping at any time, except for unloading on Thursday afternoon. Please plan accordingly.

  • AREA B:

    • This area on the map permits car camping, which includes pitching your tent next to your vehicle -and/or- utilizing roof top campers on any standard car, van, truck, or SUV. We do NOT permit any type of pull-behind camping apparatus in Area A or B. Please utilize the premium RV spaces or the Primitive RV & Tent Camping areas.
